Print Philippines 2009 has recently concluded its four-day printtechnology event last September 6, 2009 at the World Trade Center,Pasay City. Agriculture Secretary Arthur Yap graced the event,dubbed “Turning Economic Crisis into Opportunities”.

Copylandia Office Systems Corporation participated in the eventand showcased technologies and innovations from world-leaders indigital printing and office systems automations. Featured during theexhibit are leading brands such as DEVELOP Multifunction Copiers,Konica Minolta Laser Printers, RISO Super Digital Duplicators, EVOLISCard Printers, Ibico Desktop Finishing Systems, Horizon BinderySolutions, EBA Paper Cutters and HSM Shredders & Baling Presses.

As soon as the exhibit opened, visitors were handed with theirindividual copies of event newsletters. The newsletters were printedon-the-spot using DEVELOP ineo+6500. This powerhouse,full color system printer allows you to print newsletters, bookletsand handouts in an instant. With a printing speed of 65 pages perminute, you can accept small to medium run print jobs at a cost perpage of as low as Php 4.00.

HSM V-Press, Copylandia’s new roster of machines,was launched during the exhibit. Mr. Andreas Buhler of HSM Germanydemonstrated the pressing power of HSM V-Presses. HSM has the widestrange of baling presses and can even customize depending on thecustomer’s requirements. At the Print Philippines, on display arethe V-Press 403, an entry-level model that canaccommodate a bale weight of up to 40 kilograms which is stillconvenient for a person to carry; the V-Press 610, whichcan produce bales of up to 100 kilograms in weight; and the V-Press860, designed for heavy pressing as it can work to bale up to480 kilograms at a rate of 2 to 5 bales per hour and can pressdifficult materials such as rubber tires, insulation sheets, plasticmaterials, corrugated boards and others. Guests watched as Mr.Buhler, together with Copylandia’s technical team, baled mounts ofpaper.

Mr. William Lee showcased the versatility of GBC’slaminating machines. Mr. Lee showed the capabilities of GBC 620 –OS. It is best used for laminating book jackets and covers to givethem a glossy finish. Sample print outs where laminated on themachine and these were handed out to visitors as souvenirs.
