The Copylandia Cagayan de Oro branch team has made preparations for their feeding program scheduled on Sunday, December 18, so that when Sendong struck CDO in the early morning of Saturday, December 17, they were among the first to respond to assist the victims of the deluge, feeding hapless victims in one of the evacuation centers in the city. CDO team fed 650 people on the same day of the disaster, and they kept going back to feed a total of 1,660. Not to be outdone, the Copylandia Iligan team did three feeding sessions for a total of 1,641 people who were flood victims in the Iligan City area. The Copylandia team also raised money to help eight of its own people who were directly affected by Sendong in Cagayan de Oro and Iligan. Many of the branch teams donated their Christmas party fund to help their affected team mates rebuild their lives.

When the annual outreach program started in 2009, Copylandia teams throughout the country fed 8,140 children; in 2010, the total number was 12,409; but for Christmas of 2011, the total reached 14,464 children. This shows that Copylandia teams excel in whatever they do, especially so when serving others who are in need becomes the driving force.

As part of its corporate social responsibility (CSR) projects, the Copylandia management initiated the feeding activity in 2009. it challenged the team that for every one peso the team raised for the project, Copylandia will give three pesos, so that members of the team put their stake, sweat and money, into the project, allowing them to reach more and give more.

Aside from feeding the children with vegetarian dishes, the Copylandia teams made sure the program becomes a real Christmas party for the children with games, prizes and gifts. They also gave lectures on health and wellness focusing on how to stretch the budget by eating vegetarian food and taught simple breathing techniques that increase energy and reduce stress. It was a fulfilling, enriching and joyful activity for every member of the Copylandia team as they experienced the joys and the thrills of giving, and they look forward to doing it more often. They said that just thinking of what they have done, puts a smile on their faces! It was such a joy to share!
